It is ETL certified, battery operated, and communicates with the customer’s security control panel. Swap it for a standard motion sensor in typical installations for increased customer value and higher account RMR.

Integrated with Alarm.com Interactive Services, images are easily accessible to customers. All uploaded images are viewable on the Alarm.com Customer Website or through the mobile apps. Users can even receive images in text or email alerts whenever an image is uploaded— whether in the event of an alarm, or on-demand for important events.

The Image Sensor is compatible with most Alarm.com supported panels. Some panels require additional hardware. See the System Compatibility table for more details. Qolsys IQ Panel 2
  • All firmware versions of the Qolsys IQ Panel 2 are compatible.
  • Requires the Qolsys Image Sensor daughterboard.
    • The Qolsys IQ Panel 2 Plus is not compatible since it has a built-in PowerG daughtercard, which uses the same antenna as the Image Sensor daughtercard

Image Sensor service package add-ons

All service package options have upload limits that reset on the first day of each month. If the upload limit is reached in the previous month, the Image Sensor will resume uploading images according to its capture rules the following month. Images captured during an alarm always upload even if the upload limit is reached.

Note: Unused Image Sensor uploads do not carry over from month to month.

Images - Alarms
  • 50 motion-activated images per Alarm event, across all image-capturing devices, for up to 10 alarm events per month

Images - Limited 
  • 100 panel disarm and alarm image uploads per month over broadband only 

Note: This add-on is included by default in the Interactive, Interactive + Automation, and Commercial packages, and only applies to customers using a panel with a panel camera. 
Images - Plus
  • 400 uploads per month for motion-activated alarm uploads and non-alarm (e.g., disarm, Peek-Ins, etc.) events with the base package, with a maximum of 40 uploads per month over a cellular network connection
  • Up to 200 additional uploads per month can be added to the service package

Note: Alarm event uploads count towards the limit, but images are always taken in the event of an alarm regardless of if the upload limit was reached. 
Extra Image Events
  • 200 uploads per month, with a maximum of 20 uploads per month over a cellular network connection

Note: For Qolsys panels, Image Upload Count displays in the service package. This option only applies towards the number of PIR camera images that get uploaded for each alarm event. For more information, see the panel-specific guide for Viewing the PowerG PIR camera images.
